Overdue tax returns. Lodged electronically, back to 2001.
AND WE ARRANGE THE FUNDING TO PAY THE TAX OWING
4 mins of your time — see how we work.
We’ll call you back today.
Leave your details. No calendar, no commitment.
Thanks — got it. We’ll call you today.
That didn’t send. Ring us on 1300 012 399 and we’ll sort it.
Fixed fees, agreed before we start. No surprise bills.
We bring overdue tax returns up to date — and because we hold a credit licence as well, we can arrange funding to pay the tax owing. Most accountants hand you the bill and leave you with it.
Normal lending criteria, terms and conditions apply. Credit is subject to assessment and approval.
You're not the first.
And it's usually not as bad as you think.
Most people who stop lodging are owed money. The fear is a bill. The reality is often a refund sitting there, held back until the returns go in.
You don't need a shoebox of paperwork. From 2009 onward we pull your ATO pre-fill straight into the return. For the years before that, we request the data from the ATO in writing.
And nobody is going to lecture you. A business failed, someone got sick, one year slipped and then it was ten. We have seen all of it.
Here's what it costs. No quote required.
Year-end financial accounts and your company tax return, per entity, per year. Find the line that describes your company — that's your price.
Minimal transactions. Accounts prepared, return lodged, ASIC obligations met.
Straightforward income and expenses. No payroll. Records already clean.
Regular trading, GST and BAS reconciliation, the usual year-end adjustments.
Payroll, capital gains, asset registers or Division 7A loans. A fixed figure, agreed in writing before we start.
Everything else
Overdue BAS included. Outstanding activity statements are brought up to date the same way as the returns, back to the earliest period still open. Priced per statement, agreed before we start.
From $280. Rental property and sole trader schedules are additional — priced and agreed before we start.
Every figure agreed in writing before any work begins.
Trust returns are priced the same way, plus $500 — the distribution resolutions and beneficiary reporting are additional work, so they carry an additional fee. SMSF by enquiry, from $3,000 a year.
The fee we agree is the fee you pay.
Two ways this goes wrong for people. We have closed both.
That is our cost, not your invoice. If the records turn out to hold something that was not there when we quoted — years of unreconciled data, an entity nobody mentioned, an ATO review already under way — we stop, tell you what we have found, and agree a new fixed figure in writing before doing any further work. You are never billed for work you have not agreed to.
We pull your ATO portal history first. You find out exactly which years are missing, across which entities, and what the ATO is already holding — before you sign and before there is a fee. If you decide to do nothing with it, you still know where you stand.
Fifteen minutes on the phone is all it takes to start that.
What clients actually say
In their words, not ours.
“Peer Accountants (John King) have been our SMSF & personal accountants since 2006. For us John handles tax affairs (SMSF & personal), brokers home loans (inclusive of rate reductions with ongoing loans & arranging lower rate loan changeovers), brokers vehicle loans (business & private). To date the services provided have been impeccable & we can highly recommend his services.”
Scott & Claudia Gray · Google review“Highly recommend Peer Accountants, particularly John King. John is incredibly attentive, approachable and takes the time to genuinely understand his clients and their individual needs. He explains everything clearly, is always responsive, and brings a personal touch that makes the whole process feel easy and stress-free.”
Sarah Pym · Google review“Been a client of Peer Accountants for 6yrs and found them to be very helpful and informative and very professional.”
Peter Hohn · Google review“I've had only positive experiences with Peer Accountants and would definitely recommend them to others.”
Deklan Smith · Google reviewHow it works
Five steps. No surprises in any of them.
- 1. We pull your ATO portal history first. Before you sign anything, we establish exactly what is missing — which years, which entities, what the ATO is already holding.
- 2. We lodge electronically, back to 2001. Xero Tax for 2014 onward, CCH for the years before that. Most practices run Xero alone and stop at 2014. In September 2026 we lodged a 2009 return electronically that other accountants had been told could not be done.
- 3. We apply for penalty remission. Late returns usually attract failure-to-lodge penalties and general interest charge. We apply to the ATO and put the case in writing for you. The decision rests with the ATO, so you will be told what we will argue and what is realistic before we lodge.
- 4. We arrange the funding. We hold a credit licence in the same company as the tax agent registration. If there is a debt at the end of it, the firm that read your numbers is the firm that arranges the loan. No referral out.Normal lending criteria, terms and conditions apply. Credit is subject to assessment and approval.
- 5. Fixed fee, agreed before we start. Once we know the scope you get a figure in writing. Historical lodgements are quoted separately from ongoing work, 50% upfront.
Who you'll actually be dealing with
John King has been an accountant since 1999.
Fellow of the Institute of Public Accountants. And a licensed finance broker, which almost no accountant is โ so when funding is the problem, the person who reads your numbers is the person who arranges it.
The Institute of Public Accountants is one of Australia's three professional accounting bodies, alongside CPA Australia and Chartered Accountants ANZ. Fellow is its senior grade. The authority to lodge returns is the tax agent registration — ours is 25396687.
Based in Newstead. We work with you at your place, or online — whichever suits you. No waiting room, no parking, no half-day off work.
